baby strollers on sale
October 11th, 2010 by chinasuppliers111Looking for a baby stroller can be a bit confusing if you’re not familiar with all the different types of strollers that are available. There are lots of different strollers to choose from. It’s not simply a matter of choosing the right brand, you have to choose the right type.
As you shop for strollers you will find some that are perfect for your lifestyle and some that wouldn’t be very useful to your family at all. Nobody wants to be stuck with a stroller that isn’t practical in their everyday life. Here is a quick breakdown of the main stroller types that you will see when shopping for the perfect baby stroller.
Standard Strollers
Standard baby strollers are the work-horses of the stroller world. These are strollers that are best used in everyday walking situations. If most of your travels are going to be short walks, or trips to the store, a standard stroller is a great choice. Standard strollers should be durable, easy to fold and unfold, and good for children from infancy to toddler age.
Double Strollers
If you have twins or two little ones that are close in age, a double stroller is a great choice. Double strollers are available as tandem strollers (one seat in front of the other) or side-by-side varieties. Tandem strollers are easier to get through doors, while side-by-side strollers are typically easier to maneuver and transport than tandem stroller. There are even sit n stand strollers that are designed to carry an infant and a toddler at the same time
Prams or Carriages
Prams have a classic look to them. They are intended for newborns and young infants. A carriage is designed for babies to be reclined at all times. They look a bit dated to some, but they have a definite retro appeal and are starting to become very popular again. Remember, though, that prams are only for newborns and infants. They are almost like cribs on wheels.
Jogging and All-Terrain Strollers
Jogging and all-terrain strollers are the hot rods and ATVs of the stroller world. These strollers are designed for people who like to engage in physical activities and bring the kids along for the ride. There are even double jogger strollers and double all-terrain strollers available for parents who have multiple young children. You can usually spot these kinds of strollers easily because they have 3 wheels that are usually much larger than non-jogging strollers. A lot of people have a standard or double stroller for everyday use and a jogger stroller or all-terrain stroller for exercising or going on outdoor adventures.
I hope this list of some of the basic stroller types will be helpful to you as you search for the perfect stroller. This list is really just a sampler, as there are several other types of strollers that are commonly available. Whether you get a standard stroller or a double jogger, be sure to buy one manufactured by a reputable stroller.
